Welcome to the MDM Minute with Peter Schenk. Today I want to talk about enlightenment. You know, the word enlightenment has so many misconceptions with it. It&#8217;s been put on a pedestal and I find it hysterical. I have met many, many self proclaimed enlightened beings that have reached a state of enlightenment, so they say. These are beautiful people with strange and bizarre talents that are very, very powerful at what they do. The conversations that I&#8217;ve had with them I always wind up laughing at them. Not out of disrespect, but because they&#8217;re delusional.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>In my reality, enlightenment is not a place that you can reach in embodiment. Let me explain that for a minute. When I&#8217;ve interviewed these other people and talked to them about their enlightenment, they say to me, &#8220;I&#8217;ve reached a state of enlightenment and simplicity in my life where I can then direct others on how to get to where I&#8217;m at,&#8221; or some other babbling baloney. Enlightenment in my opinion is a path. It&#8217;s not obtainable in human form. It&#8217;s a path that you walk everyday and you live everyday to better yourself. It&#8217;s self discovery. It&#8217;s about learning. It&#8217;s about being kind to others. It&#8217;s about a discovery process.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>There is no end game in enlightenment. It&#8217;s a path, it&#8217;s a road that we all follow. If you choose to follow it you can to better yourself. The Tibetan monks spent years, years; their whole lives, 10, 15 hours a day in solitude meditating to reach enlightenment. Okay, if that works for you, great. You know? Again folks, enlightenment is a path you choose to walk on to better your life. It&#8217;s not obtainable in human form, but the path is very, very attainable in human form; walking it, living it, breathing it every, every day.
