Energy Healing

Known by many names over many centuries, energy healing has been practiced for a number of ailments the world over. There are many kinds of energy healing practices, and they all have their own nuances and purposes, but they overlap on the fact that they’re all used to help make life better and mend issues we deal with as we travel this world. Depending on what kind of issue you’re having, different treatments may be more worth looking into than others, but the world of energy healing is vast and ancient, so this can be a tough task for those who don’t have any experience with the subject. Of all the forms of energy healing, two of the oldest prevailing methodologies are “qigong” and “crystal healing,” both of which have been practiced for hundreds of years by countless healers.

One of the most ancient forms of energy healing is called “qigong.” Prominent in the practices of Daoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism, qigong focuses around using the energy called “qi” (pronounced “ki”) to heal spiritual, emotional, and certain physical ailments. “Qi” is said to reside in and be produced in the human body, as well as be present in nature as a kind of universal energy, which the healer harnesses and uses to heal whoever should come to them with an issue. Today, millions of people practice qigong in a number of forms, as there are many different schools of qigong practice that still exist. Most qigong incorporates meditation and rhythmic breathing and movement, and is the origin of Tai Chi (the two practices are very closely related and are often practiced in tandem). It’s been used to treat all sorts of muscular and circulatory issues, as well as generally being good for keeping one’s blood pressure and body weight low as most qigong healing includes regular physical action, which is always good for a body. Most people who practice qigong use it to heal themselves, as participation in the practice is necessary for the effects to manifest, though there are certain schools of qigong that aim to heal others as a more traditional healer-role using qi. Although the many different kinds of qigong present a person with a wealth of options, there are paths outside of qigong that people have utilized for just as long.

Crystal healing is another very popular form of energy healing. For as long as people have had access to crystals, their healing properties have been lauded. While used primarily for emotional problems and those suffering spiritual issues, certain stones have been said to have application for helping chronic issues such as muscle pain, tension, stress, and circulatory problems. While some stones have overlap in their reported effects, every crystal is different and is used in different ways, and the nuances between them are important to note and should be made sure of before being used to alleviate a problem (the many different kinds of quartz are a great example, as there are so many of them and although they’re all derivatives of basic quartz, they all have their own uses). Crystal healing is cast mostly as a long term treatment for issues, usually requiring the wearing of certain crystals and stones over a long period of time and allowing it to interact with the energies in our bodies to help facilitate the solving of whatever issues is at hand. An ancient and respected practice, crystal healing is one of the most popular forms of energy healing, with millions using it in societies around the world.
